Managing your financial health is extremely important to your overall well-being. Kiewit offers several programs to help you stay financially fit and to reach your long-term financial goals. 

Employee Discounts (Perkopolis)

As part of your benefits package, you can access the Kiewit employee discount program, Perkopolis, to help you save money on the things that matter most to you. 

  • Access more than 5,000 exclusive discounts on a wide range of products and services, including electronics, home goods, meal delivery, mortgages, and travel. 
  • To register, go to  perkopolis.com and click on the Sign In / Register link.  
  • Then click on the Register link, enter your Kiewit email address and select your country.  
  • Perkopolis will send you an email to complete the registration process. 


Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA)

Kiewit provides staff employees (and their spouses, if applicable) with a $300 credit in a lifestyle spending account to pay for eligible wellness-related expenses that the standard plan does not cover.

 

Eligible expenses include expenses related to sports, camping, dance, fishing, fitness equipment, golf, health club memberships, running, self-defense courses, skiing and many more. 

 

How it works 

  • To receive credit, eligible expenses must be incurred during the tax year and be submitted to Manulife for processing.  
  • You have until Jan. 30 each year to submit expenses for the prior year. 
  • Credits not used during the tax year will be forfeited. 
  • LSA paid claims are added to your taxable income and reported on your T4.  
  • Receipts are required and claims can be submitted online by visiting manulife.ca/personal/sign-in.html.  
  • Paper claim forms are also available on the site (LSA policy number is 110663). 



Note: External project hires are not eligible for the LSA.

Retirement Planning

About the Kiewit RRSP

Kiewit offers an RRSP plan that is one of the best in the industry. It will help you reach your long-term savings goals by providing: 

  • Company dollar-for-dollar match on member-required contributions, up to 6% of weekly base wages for staff employees and up to 5% of weekly base wages for project hire employees*  
  • An annual discretionary contribution to your RRSP account of up to 4% of base pay, depending on company performance** 
  • Ability to roll over pretax money from a previous employer’s plan to your Kiewit account. 

Employees who are eligible for the RRSP will receive a notification from Manulife via an email sent to the employee’s work email address.



*There is no matching for voluntary contributions or for part-time, contract and temporary employees. 

**There is no discretionary bonus for project hires, part-time, contract and temporary employees. 

Employee Ownership Program

  • Salaried staff employees who have been with Kiewit three years or more may be entitled to purchase company shares as part of the employee ownership program.
  • Becoming an employee-owner is an honor, based on personal performance and responsibility.
  • Employee owners are no longer eligible for the company matching contribution program or annual discretionary contribution and it’s not pro-rated.

PlanRight Advisors

Participants in the RRSP plan can access Manulife’s PlanRight Advisors at no cost. PlanRight Advisors are fully licensed and don’t work on commission.
