Pinnacle employees and their families have access to a variety of mental health programs, ranging from in-person therapy to online self-care apps and educational awareness tools (see below).

AbleTo

AbleTo is a free self-care app for employees and dependents covered under the Pinnacle medical plan.

  • AbleTo offers clinical techniques to help you deal with stress, anxiety and depression, including coping tools, meditations and guided journeys.
  • The app also offers personalized goal setting and tracking, daily mood tracking and a community that provides support anonymously.

To get started, go to www.ableto.com/begin and enter your medical group number to access. 


Calm Health

Calm Health is a self-care app with programs and tools designed to help support your mental health and well-being. It is available at no additional cost to employees and their dependents who live in the U.S. and are actively enrolled in the Pinnacle medical plan. 

The Calm Health app provides personalized resources and education designed to help you: 

  • Learn techniques to improve well-being 
  • Work toward goals with self-guided self-care programs and progress tracking 
  • Support your mind and body through access to mental health information and support 

To get started, follow the instructions included in the Calm Health FAQ. Be sure to download the Calm Health app, not the Calm app.


Employee Assistance Program 

Access confidential care for your emotional and mental health whenever you need it through Lyra, Pinnacle’s Employee Assistance Program provider in the United States. 

Lyra offers 24/7 support for everyday challenges and more serious problems. The program includes mental health services for all eligible employees (including union employees), their families and household members.  

Get up to 12 coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost. Lyra professionals provide: 

  • Guided self-care coaching via video or live messaging 
  • A coach-crafted care plan and self-paced mental health strategies 
  • Access to self-led wellness tools anytime, anywhere 
  • In-person and video therapy to diagnose and treat mental health conditions like depression, PTSD and more 
  • Medication management through specialized physician consultations


Lyra Care for Teens

Lyra makes the process of finding a therapist for your teen as fast, easy and stress-free as possible. The program is available to teens ages 13-17. 

  • View available therapists in minutes and easily schedule an in-person or virtual appointment.
  • Parents and teens can register on the Lyra platform and find flexible booking options, including evenings and weekends.  
  • Choose from a high-quality network of therapists, including more than 6,500 licensed child specialists.
  • Many therapists offer age-appropriate digital exercises and videos to reinforce learnings. 

Your teen might benefit from therapy if you’ve noticed: 

  • Unusual emotional outbursts 
  • Constant defiance 
  • Under-eating or unexplained weight loss 
  • Withdrawal from enjoyable activities and social relationships 
  • Frequent and uncontrollable worries 
  • Falling behind in school 


Talkspace Online Therapy 

Talkspace is an online therapy program that can help you with anxiety, depression and other conditions, including substance abuse, eating or compulsive disorders. The digital platform offers an effective alternative to in-person therapy with in-app chat, voice and video messaging. 

  • Find a therapist with an online matching tool and start therapy within hours of choosing your therapist.  
  • Message your therapist any time — get messages back throughout the day, five days a week.  
  • Choose real-time face-to-face video visits by appointment, when needed.  

Talkspace is available to employees and dependents covered by a company medical plan. Providers are part of behavioral care under your medical plan. Visits are treated like any other outpatient behavioral visit, subject to deductible and coinsurance. To get started: 

  • Register (first visit only) at talkspace.com/connect on your computer. 
  • Select “UHC” as the plan, then click “Get started” and enter your medical plan information. 
  • Once you’re registered, download the Talkspace app from the App Store or GooglePlay on your mobile phone. 
  • Sign in using your email and password.
